أَوْ تَقُولُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَآ أَشْرَكَ ءَابَآؤُنَا مِن قَبْلُ وَكُنَّا ذُرِّيَّةً مِّنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ ۖ أَفَتُهْلِكُنَا بِمَا فَعَلَ ٱلْمُبْطِلُونَ
TRANSLITERATION
Aw taqūlū innamā ashraka ābāʾunā min qablu wakunnā dhurriyyatam mim baʿdihim, afatuhlikunā bimā faʿalal-mubṭilūn
ENGLISH TRANSLATION · TALAL ITANI
Nor can you say, “Our ancestors practiced idolatry before; and we are their descendants who came after them; will you destroy us for what the falsifiers did?”
