وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هُمْ أَحْسَنُ أَثَـٰثًا وَرِءْيًا
Wakam ahlaknā qablahum min qarnin hum aḥsanu athāthaw wariʾyā
How many a generation have We destroyed before them, who surpassed them in riches and splendor?
