فَأَجَآءَهَا ٱلْمَخَاضُ إِلَىٰ جِذْعِ ٱلنَّخْلَةِ قَالَتْ يَـٰلَيْتَنِى مِتُّ قَبْلَ هَـٰذَا وَكُنتُ نَسْيًا مَّنسِيًّا
TRANSLITERATION
Faʾajāʾahal-makhāḍu ilā jidhʿin-nakhlah, qālat yālaytanī mittu qabla hādhā wakuntu nasyam mansiyyā
ENGLISH TRANSLATION · TALAL ITANI
The labor-pains came upon her, by the trunk of a palm-tree. She said, “I wish I had died before this, and been completely forgotten.”
