وَوَصَّيْنَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ بِوَٰلِدَيْهِ حَمَلَتْهُ أُمُّهُۥ وَهْنًا عَلَىٰ وَهْنٍ وَفِصَـٰلُهُۥ فِى عَامَيْنِ أَنِ ٱشْكُرْ لِى وَلِوَٰلِدَيْكَ إِلَىَّ ٱلْمَصِيرُ
TRANSLITERATION
Wawaṣṣaynal-insāna biwālidayh, ḥamalathu ummuhū wahnan ʿalā wahniw wafiṣāluhū fī ʿāmayni anishkur lī waliwālidayk, ilayyal-maṣīr
ENGLISH TRANSLATION · TALAL ITANI
We have entrusted the human being with the care of his parents. His mother carried him through hardship upon hardship, weaning him in two years. So give thanks to Me, and to your parents. To Me is the destination.
