وَكَذَٰلِكَ مَآ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ فِى قَرْيَةٍ مِّن نَّذِيرٍ إِلَّا قَالَ مُتْرَفُوهَآ إِنَّا وَجَدْنَآ ءَابَآءَنَا عَلَىٰٓ أُمَّةٍ وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَـٰرِهِم مُّقْتَدُونَ
TRANSLITERATION
Wakadhālika mā arsalnā min qablika fī qaryatim min nadhīrin illā qāla mutrafūhā innā wajadnā ābāʾanā ʿalā ummatiw waʾinnā ʿalā āthārihim muqtadūn
ENGLISH TRANSLATION · TALAL ITANI
Likewise, We sent no warner before you to any town, but the wealthy among them said, “We found our parents on a course, and we are following in their footsteps.”
