وَمَا كَانَ لَنَا عَلَيْكُم مِّن سُلْطَـٰنٍۭ ۖ بَلْ كُنتُمْ قَوْمًا طَـٰغِينَ
Wamā kāna lanā ʿalaykum min sulṭān, bal kuntum qawman ṭāghīn
We had no authority over you. You yourselves were rebellious people.
