قَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ ءَايَةٌ فِى فِئَتَيْنِ ٱلْتَقَتَا ۖ فِئَةٌ تُقَـٰتِلُ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَأُخْرَىٰ كَافِرَةٌ يَرَوْنَهُم مِّثْلَيْهِمْ رَأْىَ ٱلْعَيْنِ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ يُؤَيِّدُ بِنَصْرِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَعِبْرَةً لِّأُو۟لِى ٱلْأَبْصَـٰرِ
TRANSLITERATION
Qad kāna lakum āyatun fī fiʾataynil-taqatā, fiʾatun tuqātilu fī sabīlillāhi waʾukhrā kāfiratuy yarawnahum mithlayhim raʾyal-ʿayn, wallāhu yuʾayyidu binaṣrihī may yashāʾ, inna fī dhālika laʿibratal liʾulil-abṣār
ENGLISH TRANSLATION · TALAL ITANI
There was a sign for you in the two parties that met. One party fighting in the way of God, and the other was disbelieving. They saw them with their own eyes twice their number. But God supports with His help whomever He wills. In that is a lesson for those with insight.
