وَلَـٰكِنَّآ أَنشَأْنَا قُرُونًا فَتَطَاوَلَ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْعُمُرُ ۚ وَمَا كُنتَ ثَاوِيًا فِىٓ أَهْلِ مَدْيَنَ تَتْلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَـٰتِنَا وَلَـٰكِنَّا كُنَّا مُرْسِلِينَ
TRANSLITERATION
Walākinnā anshaʾnā qurūnan fataṭāwala ʿalayhimul-ʿumur, wamā kunta thāwiyan fī ahli madyana tatlū ʿalayhim āyātinā walākinnā kunnā mursilīn
ENGLISH TRANSLATION · TALAL ITANI
But We established many generations, and time took its toll on them. Nor were you among the people of Midian, reciting Our revelations to them. But We kept sending messengers.
