وَإِن فَاتَكُمْ شَىْءٌ مِّنْ أَزْوَٰجِكُمْ إِلَى ٱلْكُفَّارِ فَعَاقَبْتُمْ فَـَٔاتُوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ ذَهَبَتْ أَزْوَٰجُهُم مِّثْلَ مَآ أَنفَقُوا۟ ۚ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنتُم بِهِۦ مُؤْمِنُونَ
TRANSLITERATION
Waʾin fātakum shayʾum min azwājikum ilal-kuffāri faʿāqabtum faʾātul-ladhīna dhahabat azwājuhum mithla mā anfaqū, wattaqullāhal-ladhī antum bihī muʾminūn
ENGLISH TRANSLATION · TALAL ITANI
If any of your wives desert you to the unbelievers, and you decide to penalize them, give those whose wives have gone away the equivalent of what they had spent. And fear God, in whom you are believers.
