إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ أَن يُوقِعَ بَيْنَكُمُ ٱلْعَدَٰوَةَ وَٱلْبَغْضَآءَ فِى ٱلْخَمْرِ وَٱلْمَيْسِرِ وَيَصُدَّكُمْ عَن ذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ وَعَنِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ ۖ فَهَلْ أَنتُم مُّنتَهُونَ
TRANSLITERATION
Innamā yurīdush-shayṭānu ay yūqiʿa baynakumul-ʿadāwata wal-baghḍāʾa fil-khamri wal-maysiri wayaṣuddakum ʿan dhikrillāhi waʿaniṣ-ṣalāti fahal antum muntahūn
ENGLISH TRANSLATION · TALAL ITANI
Satan wants to provoke strife and hatred among you through intoxicants and gambling, and to prevent you from the remembrance of God, and from prayer. Will you not desist?
