قَالَ أَرَءَيْتَ إِذْ أَوَيْنَآ إِلَى ٱلصَّخْرَةِ فَإِنِّى نَسِيتُ ٱلْحُوتَ وَمَآ أَنسَىٰنِيهُ إِلَّا ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ أَنْ أَذْكُرَهُۥ ۚ وَٱتَّخَذَ سَبِيلَهُۥ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ عَجَبًا
TRANSLITERATION
Qāla araʾayta idh awaynā ilaṣ-ṣakhrati faʾinnī nasītul-ḥūt, wamā ansānīhu illash-shayṭānu an adhkurah, wattakhadha sabīlahū fil-baḥri ʿajabā
ENGLISH TRANSLATION · TALAL ITANI
He said, “Do you remember when we rested by the rock? I forgot about the fish. It was only the devil who made me forget it. And so it found its way to the river, amazingly.”
