49 Al-Baqarah 2:49

وَإِذْ نَجَّيْنَـٰكُم مِّنْ ءَالِ فِرْعَوْنَ يَسُومُونَكُمْ سُوٓءَ ٱلْعَذَابِ يُذَبِّحُونَ أَبْنَآءَكُمْ وَيَسْتَحْيُونَ نِسَآءَكُمْ ۚ وَفِى ذَٰلِكُم بَلَآءٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ عَظِيمٌ

TRANSLITERATION

Waʾidh najjaynākum min āli firʿawna yasūmūnakum sūʾal-ʿadhābi yudhabbiḥūna abnāʾakum wayastaḥyūna nisāʾakum, wafī dhālikum balāʾum mir rabbikum ʿaẓīm

ENGLISH TRANSLATION · TALAL ITANI

And recall that We delivered you from the people of Pharaoh. They inflicted on you terrible persecution, killing your sons and sparing your women. Therein was a tremendous trial from your Lord.
