فَلَمَّا جَنَّ عَلَيْهِ ٱلَّيْلُ رَءَا كَوْكَبًا ۖ قَالَ هَـٰذَا رَبِّى ۖ فَلَمَّآ أَفَلَ قَالَ لَآ أُحِبُّ ٱلْـَٔافِلِينَ
TRANSLITERATION
Falammā janna ʿalayhil-laylu raʾā kawkabā, qāla hādhā rabbī, falammā afala qāla lā uḥibbul-āfilīn
ENGLISH TRANSLATION · TALAL ITANI
When the night fell over him, he saw a planet. He said, “This is my lord.” But when it set, he said, “I do not love those that set.”
