فَوَسْوَسَ لَهُمَا ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ لِيُبْدِىَ لَهُمَا مَا وُۥرِىَ عَنْهُمَا مِن سَوْءَٰتِهِمَا وَقَالَ مَا نَهَىٰكُمَا رَبُّكُمَا عَنْ هَـٰذِهِ ٱلشَّجَرَةِ إِلَّآ أَن تَكُونَا مَلَكَيْنِ أَوْ تَكُونَا مِنَ ٱلْخَـٰلِدِينَ
TRANSLITERATION
Fawaswasa lahumash-shayṭānu liyubdiya lahumā mā wūriya ʿanhumā min sawʾātihimā waqāla mā nahākumā rabbukumā ʿan hādhihish-shajarati illā an takūnā malakayni aw takūnā minal-khālidīn
ENGLISH TRANSLATION · TALAL ITANI
But Satan whispered to them, to reveal to them their nakedness, which was invisible to them. He said, “Your Lord has only forbidden you this tree, lest you become angels, or become immortals.”
